So Ohio didn’t have any state campgrounds available and apparently neither did Michigan! Entire States full…but this worked to our advantage. For the second time I used my membership to Harvest Hosts and where we landed is beyond happy words. Honestly, could NOT have landed in a more enticing place ☀️

Peacock Family Farm is nothing short of AMAZING! We arrived later than we'd hoped due to Friday night traffic and were greeted almost immediately by "Farmer Ed" owner of the establishment. The farm is closed until Fall but they host weddings AND they were serving dinner to hundreds of guests when I called to say that we'd arrived. He came right out, hooked us up to his electricity and said, "Make yourselves at home." We did!

Ginger, Holly and I got set up and then took a walk around this enchanted farm. Wedding music playing in the background, we meandered through a maze of buildings (some historic and others storybook-like) to the "petting park/zoo where Holly and we met sheep, goats, horses, cows, llamas, ducks, pigs, chickens, and of course peacocks...hence the name of the farm. What a blast we had that first night. We liked it so much that we asked if we could extend -- to which Ed replied, "Stay as long as you like!" (Keep in mind that there is NO cost to staying with the Harvest Host membership). These generous people (Ed and his wife, Diana) provide free parking spaces for people who are traveling in RVs. Many times (including here) they provide access to electricity and water. Again, AMAZING! Ed's wife had just returned from travel to and from Victoria Island (solo/with dog) in a 22' RV and she, too utilized Harvest Hosts. Cool stuff.

Anyway, we ended up staying at the Farm for two nights. We experienced the sounds of people enjoying themselves at Friday and Saturday night weddings... Saturday night Ed insisted that we come down to the barn and grab some dinner and dessert. He even picked us up in one of the many golf carts moving through the campus.

We walked the many acres of farmland trails and came across staff setting up chairs for yet another wedding - this one taking place in their chapel in the woods. Did I already use the word 'enchanting'? I was going to add a photo but it cannot do the real thing justice.

Anyway, here are some photos of us enjoying everything and everyone!

Farm consists of petting 'zoo' - Barn for weddings, and so much more. Here is a photo of the property map:

Ginger and I cannot thank Ed, Diana and their staff for making us feel so at home.
