New York - Visit with Barb

From Pennsylvania to my sister, Barb's house in Dutchess County, New York. Spent such quality time and already miss her. Barb lives near the Hudson River. We've talked about taking a walk across the Hudson for years and finally did it during this visit. 

The Walkway over the Hudson is a steel cantilever bridge spanning the Hudson River between Poughkeepsie, New York, on the east bank and Highland, New York, on the west bank. It is about 1.5 miles across and is the World's Longest Elevated Pedestrian Bridge! We spent a few hours walking and admiring the Hudson on a gorgeous autumn day.

Spending time with Barb is always an amazing gift. I am truly blessed.

Sojourner Truth is memorialized on the Highland side of the walkway. She was an American abolitionist and women's rights activist.
