Okay, so these days have been beautiful, interesting and for the most part relaxing. Why, for the most part? Well, let's say having an RV is very different from driving a car...even very different from driving a school bus.

Remembering that the back end sits low to the ground and when one has a bike rack/bike accommodations must be made on trenched campsites...ouch.

Remembering to pull the awning in before leaving campground! Double ouch.

Knowing all of the electrical quirks - when to use generator and water pump vs. when these are not needed. Sounds easy but not at first. We're getting it and I must say that it's been so wonderful having Ginge and Jodie (part-time) to help figure things out.

Anyway, let's start at Corning arriving evening of July 22. After a lovely drive from Boonsville's Stysh's Brown Barn Camprgound (touting itself as "Almost World Famous) through green hills and farmland toward our next adventure...

Arrived in Corning in early evening and left one campsite we'd reserved because it was not what we were looking for - seemed to be run down and depressing. We went down the road a bit to a larger place that also was not what we were hoping ...loud, ATVs, fireworks, but then again, lots of people enjoy that kind of camping. Not us. That said we moved on the following day.

Saturday, July 23 Corning Museum of Glass - who would have thought that this would be so much fun. Ginger, Jodie and I spent hours walking through the exhibits in awe of the creativity and wonder of people and glass.
