Holly is ready to move on!

We left our 5 day hiatus at Wells State Park on the west side of Lake Michigan and headed into Wisconsin.
passed through gorgeous farmland and lush landscapes.

Landed in Brunet Island State Park in Cornell, WI. Just an overnight. Campground is on a small island and is eerily empty—-which is fine by us! One night here and off we go.

No farmstands at all-we wanted to purchase corn but ended up picking our own. BAD girls we are.

We’ll, we ate that corn and while it was sweet-it was also tiny…not yet ready for prime time! Teach us to snag and run.

So that's a FAKE dog/coyote/fox that we saw from a distance near the lake. As we looked closer we noticed that it was tied to the dock and appeared to be looking into the distance...I thought perhaps at people kyacking/canoeing but NO...it is a FAKE tied to a dock? Is this a Wisconsin thing?

One thing that is Wisconsin is FARMS...Gorgeous. The northern quadrant of this State is full of fields filled with corn and beans: Wisconsin is currently the top grower of carrots and green beans for processing in the country. Green beans, sweet corn, carrots, peas and potatoes are all grown in the Dairy State.
